_x000D_A study published in the Journal of Vertebrate Paleontology on April 27, 2022, reports that fossils of three ichthyosaurs were found at an altitude of 2,800 meters in the Swiss Alps. The fossils feature the largest tooth ever discovered for this species. The rocks that form the new fossils most likely were at the bottom of a shallow coastal area at the time of the Ichthyosaurs.
