Adaptive driving beam (ADB) systems are glare-free high beam headlights designed to Increase safety by dimming individual LED lamps. Camera sensors and computers help to focus the beams on darkness and lower the intensity of the light beams if there’s oncoming traffic. The headlights, commonly used in Europe, will become legal in the US in 2022, according to a Feb. 15, 2022, US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration news release.
