Who voiced the charismatic demigod Maui in the animated hit “Moana”?

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson voiced the larger-than-life demigod in Disney’s “Moana,” released in 2016. His performance helped “Moana” sail past $680 million at the global box office and into the hearts of Disney fans everywhere. In February 2024, Disney surprised fans with the announcement that “Moana 2” would be released in November. A live-action remake of “Moana” is also in the works, with Johnson returning as Maui. Auli’i Cravalho, Moana’s original voice, will not reprise her role in the live-action version but will serve as executive producer.
