China Telecom serves more than 335 million subscribers worldwide. How many are in the US?

The US government said on April 2020 that China Telecom is targeting its mobile virtual network to more than 4 million Chinese Americans. That’s in addition to 2 million Chinese tourists a year visiting the United States, 300,000 Chinese students at American colleges, and the more than 1,500 Chinese businesses in America._x000D_

_x000D_The United States Federal Communications Commission (FCC) on Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2021, voted to revoke the authorization for China Telecom’s US subsidiary to operate in the United States, citing national security concerns. The decision means China Telecom, the largest Chinese telecommunications company, must discontinue its US services within 60 days. The company has operated for nearly 20 years in the US.
