_x000D_EU nations agreed to block imports of Russian oil by sea, which doesn’t include Hungary’s supply as it receives its oil by pipeline. The agreement also ensures that if the pipeline – that runs through Ukraine – is damaged, Hungary could buy Russian oil by other means. Hungary’s prime minister, Viktor Orban, has been turning the country’s leadership toward closer alignment with Russia for a decade now, at times at the expense of relations with the European Union and NATO.
