The best-selling video game to date is Minecraft, released by Mojang in May 2009, selling more than 238 million copies across all platforms (as of April 2021). Microsoft revealed Minecraft Legends, a spinoff game planned for 2023, during its annual gaming showcase on June 12, 2022. The game will be available on all major platforms. Watch the trailer.
