What’s Florida’s Don’t Say Gay bill?

On March 8, 2022, Florida lawmakers passed a Republican-backed bill that would very much limit classroom discussion of sexual orientation and gender identity. Under the law, parents would be allowed to sue school districts they believe violate it. High school students across Florida have staged walkouts to protest the bill. Russia and Hungary passed similar anti-LGBT legislation in recent years.
