In the DC Universe, Shazam is the ancient wizard who gave Billy Batson (the other Shazam) and Black Adam their powers.

Are the films connected?

2022’s “Black Adam,” set to release in November starring Dwayne Johnson, is a spin-off on 2019’s “Shazam!.” The sequel “Shazam! Fury of the Gods” is set for Dec. 21, 2022.
